Cat: Once you find a cat that you would like to adopt, we ask that you fill out an adoption application. These can be found on our website or picked up at any one of the locations that fosters our cats. Once we have your application we will review it and one of our volunteers will call you to discuss any concerns. Once approved we will coordinate with you and the foster and you can pick up your new fur baby.

Dog: Once you find a dog that you would like to adopt, we ask that you fill out an adoption application. These can be found on our website. Once we have your application we will review it and one of our volunteers will call you to discuss any concerns. If approved, we will then set up a home visit where we will bring the dog to your house for a 30 minute visit. If all goes well at the home visit, you are able to start a 3 day foster to adopt.  Once that is completed, if you would still like to adopt the dog, and we feel that it is a good fit, we will complete the adoption paperwork and transfer the microchip into your name.

THE ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:

– Spay/ neuter
– We will keep vaccines up to date while we have the cat in our care (boosters and future vaccines are the adopters responsibility once the cat is adopted)
– De-worming treatment kept up to date while in the rescue (continued de-worming may be necessary for kittens up to 6 months of age)
– Flea prevention kept up to date while in the rescue

KITTEN (UNDER 7 MONTHS) $ 150
KITTEN (OVER 7 MONTHS) $ 125
ADULT (OVER 1 YEAR) $ 50
DE-CLAWED CAT $ 100

*We will not declaw a cat, but occasionally take in cats that have already been de-clawed

We recommend that all cats/ kittens are tested for FIV / FeLv before going home. This test costs an additional $50. Please ask if you would like more information.

100% OF THE MONEY WE TAKE IN GOES BACK TO THE CARE OF THE ANIMALS IN OUR RESCUE

As part of your contract we ask that if at any time you are unable to keep the animal that you adopt that you return it to us. We will return 50% of the adoption fee if you change your mind within the first 48 hours. After that, the adoption fee is non-refundable.

Cat: This is determined on a case by case basis, but it is definitely an option.  Under the right circumstances we will coordinate a 14 day foster to adopt contract which will give you two full weeks to determine if the cat is suitable for your household.

Dog: Yes, we always arrange a 3 day foster to adopt as part of the adoption process. In certain cases we can extend this.

We take in cats from all over Windsor and Essex county. Most of our cats are found outside but sometimes we are able to help people rehome their pets.

Currently all of the dogs we take in are through owner surrenders.

Right now we only adopt out animals to Windsor and Essex County.

Puppies (under 1 year of age) $450

Adults (1 year – 8 years) $300-$400*

*Bases on size/breed/age

Senior (8 years+) $250
